Lakers vs. Suns Triple OT Thriller – Vince Carter Set The Suns

Mar 24th, 2011 | By | Category: 2010-2011 NBA Regular Season, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns

Coach Nick shows you how Vince Carter hurt the Suns so much, they couldn’t overcome it, despite Channing Frye’s career night.

    Great post dude!

    1. Jared Dudley, not Chris Dudley
    2. Grant Hill’s foulout being somewhat a turning point of the game for Kobe’s O because JD’s ball denial is nowhere near as good as the 38 year old Grant Hill
    3. They kept going to the Frye on Fisher mismatch because it worked earlier in the game, so it’s not necessarily “not his place” just good defense from the Lakers, and better hands from Fish.

    Otherwise, everything on point!

I’m good for a name screw up about once a month! Rats!! I think Grant Hill got really aggressive on those 2 calls, so the refs had to make them. I’ll check the Frye in the post success from earlier – I didn’t see it. THANKS!!! Stay tuned for lots more.

its easy to single out all the mistakes of one game…. one could probably A LOT of make videos of vince carter SAVING the suns, the magic, the nets, the raptors, but its a lot more convenient on hating him. attracts good attention, right? today for some reason, vince only played the first 9 or so minutes of the fame. suns end up losing, nash goes 1-9. so they lose with vince, the lose without vince, so whos to blame? nobody, i think ill just support my team the way a fan should no matter what.

Whether or not Vince Carter has saved the Suns or Raptors or Magic in any other game – it was THIS game that he single-handedly hurt the Suns to the point where they couldn’t beat the Lakers. I presented to you all the bad plays he made and how in the grand scheme of the game, presented too high of a hurdle. It’s quite possible Gentry watched our breakdown and decided not to let VC do the same thing to them again… :)

Chris Dudley huh, you really know your Suns players. VC isn’t what he used to be but dude doesn’t typically shoot that bad. And you are absolutely wrong in that double digits 3′s are possible, hellooooooooooo, it’s a triple OT game you doosh.

Yeah, I’m good for a name screw up once a month – did it with Mark West and David West last time. He only missed 2 3′s in the overtime periods, and it doesn’t matter if it was 6 OT’s – no one should miss that many regardless. Thanks for the comment. Stay tuned for our next breakdown – Kansas vs. VCU
